Krizo Asembleo

The king of the Free Kingdom of the Rock is dying. There is no heir to the throne. Faced with an unprecedented constitutional crisis, the Citizens' Council is forced into an emergency assembly to appoint a successor. But what begins as an official meeting soon spirals into an absurd succession of musical numbers, monologues, PowerPoint presentations, constitutional procedures and mysterious calls from an ominous red telephone.
Krizo Asembleo is a music theatre work for six performers that balances satire with sharp political observation. Beneath its playful surface lies an exploration of national identity, democracy and political discourse, inviting audiences to laugh while questioning the systems we so often take for granted.
Following its first presentation at impuls Festival in Graz and its further development during the Bijloke Summer Academy at LOD muziektheater, this production with José del Avellanal and Bernat Pont now enters its final creative phase in collaboration with SPECTRA. Expanding into a full-length performance of approximately one hour, Krizo Asembleo is scheduled to premiere during the 2027–2028 season.
