Half a millennium ago the music of the Franco-Flemish polyphonists enchanted the European continent, in the same period when Jan Van Eyck created an international buzz. The waves of their subtle and fine-meshed vocal fabric keep shimmering through time and space and reach us again today through the fanciful ears of their distant artistic heirs.

Isabel Mundry kiest bij haar eigenzinnige benadering van chansons van Guillaume Dufay echter niet voor een historisch geïnspireerde uitvoeringspraktijk. Haar Dufay Bearbeitungen belichten net de patina van de geschiedenis. Het zijn geladen echo's uit een ver verleden, opnieuw gekleurd en tot hun ontbeende essentie herleid.
