SPECTRA 25!

Concert
On 7 February 1994, SPECTRA played the opening concert of the Week of Contemporary Music as the start of its first season. Exactly 25 years later, we look back on a quarter of a century of creations of new music.

Next to old ‘hits’ like De Laatste Hooivracht by Lucien Posman and Fivepenny bits and the seven beats’ itch by Frank Nuyts, partners in crime from the very start and former composition teachers at the Ghent Conservatory, SPECTRA performs some gems from the harvest of the latest lustrum: Stefano Gervasoni’s Gramigna and Frederik Neyrinck’s Gestalt VIII.
A new piece sprouting from the imagination of partner composer Mirek Coutigny completes this haystack.
