The Gruffalo
When she finally visits the other animals, accompanied by the real Gruffalo, the monstuous creature erroneously thinks that they are afraid for the tiny creature and fleas like grim death into the forest.
For The Gruffalo - a classic by Julia Donaldson en Axel Scheffler - conductor and composer Iván Fischer wrote music in which surprise and recognizability go hand in hand. In a setting with plenty of colourful illustrations seven singers narrate and enact this funny and thrilling musical story for children from the age of 4, in a Dutch translation in rhyme.
