His Sonata for Clarinet offers an intimate counterpart, balancing lyrical lines, moments of stillness and unexpected turns. No SPECTRA programme would be complete without a dialogue with the musical past. This time, Johann Sebastian Bach is represented by the Canon per Augmentationem in Contrario Motu, a work of extraordinary contrapuntal refinement whose quiet architecture resonates naturally within the programme. The journey concludes with Giacinto Scelsi's Ko-Lho, where flute and clarinet explore the space between two voices. Circling, converging and drifting apart, they occasionally merge into a single, breathing sound, dissolving the boundary between individual voices and shared resonance.
